ABBA - The day before you came w Lyrics
bba - The Day Before You Came
I must have left my house at eight, because I always do
My train, I'm certain, left the station just when it was due
I must have read the morning paper going into town
And having gotten through the editorial, no doubt I must have frowned
I must have made my desk around a quarter after nine
With letters to be read, and heaps of papers waiting to be signed
I must have gone to lunch at half past twelve or so
The usual place, the usual bunch
And still on top of this I'm pretty sure it must have rained
The day before you came
I must have lit my seventh cigarette at half past two
And at the time I never even noticed I was blue
I must have kept on dragging through the business of the day
Without really knowing anything, I hid a part of me away
At five I must have left, there's no exception to the rule
A matter of routine, I've done it ever since I finished school
The train back home again
Undoubtedly I must have read the evening paper then
Oh yes, I'm sure my life was well within its usual frame
The day before you came
I must have opened my front door at eight o'clock or so
And stopped along the way to buy some Chinese food to go
I'm sure I had my dinner watching something on TV
There's not, I think, a single episode of Dallas that I didn't see
I must have gone to bed around a quarter after ten
I need a lot of sleep, and so I like to be in bed by then
I must have read a while
The latest one by Marilyn French or something in that style
It's funny, but I had no sense of living without aim
The day before you came
And turning out the light I must have yawned and cuddled up for yet another night
And rattling on the roof I must have heard the sound of rain
The day before you came

Ella Fitzgerald - Night In #Tunisia - with Lyrics
The moon is the same moon above you
Aglow with its cool evening light
But shining at night, in tunisia
Never does it shine so bright
The stars are aglow in the heavens
But only the wise understand
That shining at night in tunisia
They guide you through the desert sand
Words fail, to tell a tale
Too exotic to be told
Each nights a deeper night
In a world, ages old
The cares of the day seem to vanish
The ending of day brings release
Each wonderful night in Tunisia
Where the nights are filled with peace
(bridge)
(scat)
{repeat all twice
(scat)
Each wonderful night in Tunisia
Chaka Khan - A Night in #Tunisa - And The Melody Still Lingers On (Night In Tunisia) - LIVE
A long time ago in the 40's
Dizzy and Bird gave us this song
They called it "A Night In Tunisia"
And the melody still lingers on
It was new and very strange
Blew the squares right off the stage
Few could play along
But the melody still lingers on
Max and Miles to name just two
Together they grew
The music was young and strong
And the melody still lingers on
They paved the way for generations
From Coltrane to Stevie
No one could stop the winds of change
Without them where'd we be?
The Duke and the Prez were there before
The past you can't ignore
The torch is lit, we'll keep the flame
And the melody remains the same
In the 40's
A night in tunisia
In the 40's
A night in tunisia
In the 40's
A night in tunisia
In the 40's
A night in tunisia

kenny rogers - lucille + Lyrics & chords
By Kenny Rogers [3/4 time]
written by Roger Bowling and Hal Bynum
G
In a bar in Toledo across from the depot
D7
On a barstool she took off her ring
Am D7
I thought I’d get closer so I walked on over
Am D7 G
I sat down and asked her name
When the drink finally hit her she said I’m no quitter
G7 C
But I finally quit living on dreams
D7
I’m hungry for laughter and here ever after
G
I’m after whatever the other life brings
In the mirror I saw him I closely watch him
D7
I thought how he looked out of place
Am D7
He came to the woman who sat there beside me
Am D7 G
He had a strange look on his face
The big hands are callous he looked like a mountain
G7 C
For a minute I thought I was dead
D7
But he started shaking his big heart was breaking
G
He turned to the woman and said
chorus
C
You picked the fine time to leave me Lucille
G
Four hungry children and a crop in the field
C
I’ve had some bad time live through some sad times
G
But this time your hurting wouldn’t heal
D7 C
You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille
After he left us I ordered more whiskey
D7
I thought how he made him look small
Am D7
From lights of the bar room to a rented hotel room
G
We walked without talking at all
She was a beauty but when she came to me
G7 C
She must have thought I’d lost my mind
D7
I couldn’t hold her the words that he told her
G
Kept coming back time after time
repeat chorus

Fairouz : "I Trust you (I have faith in you) " فيروز عندي ثقة فيك
Lyrics translated-
than this, for you?I have a dream of you.
I have passion for you.
And that is enough.
So you want me to die for you?
I swear I will die for you.
Believe it if you can..
And that is enough.
So what do want more (than)
if I die for you?
Is it possible that there is more? I have no more. [repeat]
That means ,
All the sentences finish with you.
I have faith in you.
And that is enough.
I loved you like no one has ever loved...
or will ever love..
and you see it usual..
nothing of importance..
I try but..
I dont understand what got me attached to you..
I write poetry in you...
I write prose in you...
and that is enough
what else can i write for you
Is it possible that there is more? I have no more.
That means ,
All the sentences finish with you.
You talk to me like a small child..
and you ignore me a lot..
if one time, in the morning...
you'd think of giving me a call
just tell me ..
what it is that gets me attached to you?
Me
I have faith in you
I have hope in you
and that is enough
What do you want more..
than this, for you?
I have a dream of you.
I have passion for you.
And that is enough.
So you want me to
die for you?
I swear I will die for you.
Believe it if you can..
And that is enough.
So what do want more (than)
if I die for you?
Is it possible that there is more? I have no more. [repeat]
That means ,
All the sentences and the tales and the talk is about you

Abba - Happy New Year - with lyrics
No more champagne
And the fireworks are through
Here we are, me and you
Feeling lost and feeling blue
It's the end of the party
And the morning seems so grey
So unlike yesterday
Now's the time for us to say...
Happy new year
Happy new year
May we all have a vision now and then
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend
Happy new year
Happy new year
May we all have our hopes, our will to try
If we don't we might as well lay down and die
You and I
Sometimes I see
How the brave new world arrives
And I see how it thrives
In the ashes of our lives
Oh yes, man is a fool
And he thinks he'll be okay
Dragging on, feet of clay
Never knowing he's astray
Keeps on going anyway...
Happy new year
Happy new year
May we all have a vision now and then
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend
Happy new year
Happy new year
May we all have our hopes, our will to try
If we don't we might as well lay down and die
You and I
Seems to me now
That the dreams we had before
Are all dead, nothing more
Than confetti on the floor
It's the end of a decade
In another ten years time
Who can say what we'll find
What lies waiting down the line
In the end of eighty-nine...
Happy new year
Happy new year
May we all have a vision now and then
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend
Happy new year
Happy new year
May we all have our hopes, our will to try
If we don't we might as well lay down and die
You and I
